Is Webtv Worth Purchasing, How Can It Compete With Cable Or Satellite

I first looked into webtv back when dialup and 15 inch monster monitors were the standard and I thought how could watch tv from my computer possibly be worth watching. I mean if the picture is only 15 inches and I am using a dialup connection is it even possible to watch tv from my computer. If wondering whether it would be worth watching wasn't bad enough I was left with hundreds of choices from where to get webtv. There just seemed to be too many outlets to purchase the product from.

This was probably about 6 to 7 years ago when I first considered getting webtv, with all of these questions and no answer to really be found I just figured I never would get webtv, but then about 4 months ago there was an article about webtv and a particular version of webtv. I was really skeptical, I bookmarked the page and came back for a second look. They promised over 3000 channels with many of the popular cable and satellite channels, I mean there is no way this can be as good as my satellite tv.

Reluctantly I gave in, I made the purchase and started go through some of the 3000 plus channels that were available and at first I found a few of the good cable channels like HBO or USA, but as I kept looking there were a lot more of these kind of channels and as a sports fanatic, I was amazed by the amount of sports channels that were available.
